I’m a scaleaholic!! I play scales before
anything else is played.
When learning a song I play a line or two then play the related scale with rhythm and different bowing. I practice major, minor and love pentatonics and the blues scale!!!
I also play triads G up to E and back. I have not worked as much as I should with modes but that is a goal

I have hearing aids which are blue tooth connected to my I phone. If u record on my phone it plays thru my hearing aids

My goal is to record something using a recorded track good enough to post. A bit lame on the tech side but I keep trying.

Over all the most helpful has been practice strategy. IE-play scale, play tune, different rhythm patterns, looping, chunking and really important—- record practice!!!!
Practice difficult parts instead of parts you do well.

I believe optimism can be turned on.I think it is a decision one makes inside their own spirit, mindset or what ever you choose to call it. It may only last an hour or few but it can be restarted. After enough restarts it becomes a pattern or habit.
