Thanks Carolyn. I’m still trying to work out what is too much, or just enough accompaniment. At the moment I’m just copying from the original, but am getting more confident to deviate a little now and again.

That’s great! It’s so hard to work out fiddle accompaniment and tags that don’t walk on the vocals and also sounds nice. I know–I’ve tried!
Also, your fiddle has a sweet sound.

I’ve gotten to 185 now, but decided not to make a video, since it sounds just the same, only a bit faster. Maybe I will get it up to real speed, set it with other instruments and do a grand finale sometime soon!

Thank you @kate-kakadu and @cynhrossi for kind words. I find slow songs like those are a great break from the harder work of double stops, metronome and speed challenges!

Well done, Joanne! It’s a very good discipline to practice with the metronome and drum beats. I need to do more of it with the songs I’ve learnt. I seem to get to a certain speed and then everything falls apart!
