Sounds great, Joanne! Nice slides and great idea using the raagini drone and beat. Love this song too and want to learn the Jack Black version’s violin accompaniment- That would be a good call and response lesson, Jason!

The weather has been dreadful today so I’ve decided to upload the latest tune I’ve been learning. I don’t think Jason teaches this one but I came across it on youtube and managed to write my own tab, so feeling a bit chuffed with myself. Not perfect yet but getting there 🙂

Sounding good Tom, maybe you could try releasing the tension on your bow, I’ve noticed a lot of beginners have it quite tight, I was the same but just lately I have been playing with it a lot looser and I don’t know it seems easier to control. Experiment a bit and see what’s best for you.

I can’t remember where I heard or read this but it goes something like this, maybe it was Jason “the fiddle should be played with passion, go for the notes, don’t be afraid to make a noise” This has stuck in my head for some reason and I think you are on the right track. Some good thoughts, Carolyn (@cbfidhed2020). Bowing suggestions do vary a lot depending on genre, personal taste, skill level, etc. I’ll have another look at Module 1.3 as you suggest.
