Strum Machine has a subscription cost but it’s not much I don’t think. Plays background to lots and lots of tune.

Thanks for posting, Mary, and Congratulations on your first public performance! Seems like a very challenging piece going into the upper hand position(s?) and switching to a backup track part way through. Well done!

I think this is more like Santa mosey-ing into town a-la Clint Eastwood on his mule! I love this hoedown version! Merry Christmas y’all!

Excuse the pun!
Playing lots of Christmas tunes with friends earlier got me thinking that “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” is my favourite, especially the version by The Cocteau Twins & I didn’t have any music or tabs for it so I spent some time just making up my own version from singing it in my head!
I recorded it so hopefully tomorrow I…[Read more] -

Practiced G scale two octaves. added variations of 123, 1,3,2,4,3,5,4,6,5,7,8.
Worked out bowing on Away in Manger in harmony section – slurs on eighth notes and down bow for effect.
Tried playing softly on harmony section.
Ran through entire piece twice with recorded accompaniment.
Need to cut my nails.

Messing around with this song originally by The Doors and covered by Echo & The Bunnymen in the 80’s film The Lost Boys, I thought it makes a fun Halloween tune!

Tom replied to the topic Day 5 – Fiddler's Green in the forum Student Videos 4 years, 7 months ago
Thanks Kate.
Fiddler’s Green is not on the Fiddlehed site, but it would be a great teaching tune either late beginner or early intermediate.
– Key of G major
– Fairly simple chord progression using G, C, D chords and one E minor
. E minor chord is (E-G-B). C chord is (C-E-G), so I used E-G double stop for both (G0-D1). Not sure if…[Read more] - Load More
