Well, Phoebe, I’m glad you liked it and that you’re on your Fiddlehed journey. It’s a very exciting place to be. I’ve just finished my 2nd year and love playing everyday and even though there always seems so much more to learn, it’s never daunting. I’ve finally learnt to have fun and enjoy the practice.

Hi Magpie, no I’ll have to check out the Mystery tune when I have time. Going camping for the rest of this week. I really should try to join the zoom lessons – except it would be 4.30am our time I think, and I’m not that much of an early bird! Yes Mike, and I’m impressed with people who don’t need to read music to play. I think you’re right to want to stick to the fun of just playing. I’m really trying to just learn the songs so I can play anytime, anywhere, and not have to have the music in front of me.

I think the aid will help me. I get feedback that I’m touching the aid and that then makes me straighten the bow.
Did you participate in the mystery tune that Jason had Saturday at 6am? I did and it was good. There is a recording of it. I like learning by ear.

Hi Maggie, thanks for the link for the bowing aid. I’m interested in you’re finding it, and if you feel a difference in your bowing because of it. I definitely need to improve my boing technique – I feel I need specific guidance on how to do the wrist bend because how I hold the bow looks so wooden compared to others how have an elegantly bendy wrist.

Thank you, Cindy! It was me singing, with the auto correct tuning working at full throttle! I’m blown away at all the things you can do on garage band now. I’m still a bit hesitant improvising, but it’s a good way to practice it.
