LOve the double stops. I’ll have to try that, too.

Thanks. I’ve been working on that fourth finger lately. It probably helps that I have played piano for years.
I’m enjoying using a slow jam backing tract for some bluegrass and old time tunes.
Enjoy the challenge. -

Thanks for you comment. I’m trying to learn to make the fiddle “sing” and not sound so practiced. When playing the fiddle, there’s so much to think about it.

Thanks. I found it wandering around the web one day. A Scottish composer wrote to honor a group of Oregon fiddlers. Isn’t that cool?

Strum Machine has a subscription cost but it’s not much I don’t think. Plays background to lots and lots of tune.

Practiced G scale two octaves. added variations of 123, 1,3,2,4,3,5,4,6,5,7,8.
Worked out bowing on Away in Manger in harmony section – slurs on eighth notes and down bow for effect.
Tried playing softly on harmony section.
Ran through entire piece twice with recorded accompaniment.
Need to cut my nails.

Learning this for participation in our local jam session. Still needs more work. Got to get the Es in tune – a big stretch from the lower E to the upper E.
