Great tune Steve. I think digressing from the score is good for us, helps us find what works so we can become fiddlers. Thanks for sharing your playing, you have a nice tone.

I really enjoyed listening to your playing Owen. Nice warm tones, and the slides and blended double stops really added to the soulful feel of this tune. Thanks for sharing.:)

Thanks for sharing your videos Steve. We all benefit from reading Jocelyns feedback. I really like the sound of your Viola and it shows how much you developed your playing between the two videos too. Great work! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for your feedback Jocelyn. Yes, this is a lovely group to play with and we’ve also developed friendships through our love of music. I write some of the harmonies for our music collection. Good to hear that you sing for elders in your community and I hope you can pull a few musicians together to play with soon. I think music is a great way to connect with others, and have a theory that it releases endorphins or dopamine or some sort of feel good chemical to the brain.๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks Juliamary, glad you liked it too.

Wow, this is great Debbie! As Jocelyn said, it’s inspiring to see you taking your playing to another level. You are doing some pretty tricky techniques there, and really well. Please keep posting your videos.

Lovely playing John, sounds like you have a good ear for intonation and you look like you’re enjoying the instrument. Do you play double bass as well? Thanks for sharing your video.:)

Lovely playing Owen, you’ve really got control of those ornaments, and the slides suit the tune so well.
Looks cold in your part of the world, no better way to keep warm than to play music………except maybe dance at the same time?๐Ÿ˜

Really nice playing Owen! It’s exciting to see how regular posting Fiddleheds like yourself and Joanne have developed their playing and confidence. You inspire the rest of us. Love the slides and jig rhythm of this tune, thanks for posting
