Sounds great your playing with the Ukulele Club! Wish we could do that here, but Covid is still ravaging; sometimes as many as 4,000 deaths/day here in the US. Recording music and playing along with the recording later also great. I am working in the Irish Music Course and enjoying it. Every once in a while, I feel like a musician, I have always been able to write, but being creative musically for me is a struggle. Jason is determined to instill creativity, so hopefully I will come along. So gladI have this as one of my hobbies. By the way, I used to coach soccer with one of your countrymen. He came to the states some 20-25 years ago. Still has the accent. One great coach! Be well.
Sorry, just saw your message Owen! 2 months later and it looks like things had improved so much over there in the US. We’re still waiting for a roll out of the vaccine so are still having to have a great deal of vigilance as a community. Good excuse to keep practicing on the fiddle! I’m slowly making my way through the intermediate course but have watched some of the group session lessons, which I really enjoyed. I really need a lot more work on technique, especially my bowing hand doesn’t really have that elegant look. It seems very wooden compared to how violinists make their wrists move. I’m really trying to learn all the songs by memory and I think it is really helping me develop my ear. The ukulele club let me do the solo for ‘Fisherman’s Blues’ the other day for a little concert. I was so nervous my hand trembled so much it sounded like vibrato! Stay safe!
