Tune of the week: Lazy John

Here’s a version of Lazy John by the great Bruce Molsky. I love his fiddling and singing. He’s traveled around the country for years, learning tunes from old fiddlers.

I teach a simple version of this tune in this lesson.

  1. Hi Jason,

Good lesson! I am a BIG Bruce Molsky fan, too. He is already revered as an American fiddle treasure, and I think he will be held in the same esteem as some of the great American fiddlers (i.e. Tommy Jarrell, Pee wee King, Don Messer, and so many more) for many, many years to come. Happy 4th of July to you!

  2. Loved listening to Bruce! Started your lesson and thought, hmmm, I don’t know, stuck with the micro practice and now loving it. Yes great tune. Thank you. Must put fiddle away now. That is the Hardest part of practice. Stopping!
