Practice strategy: Use less bow

If you are struggling to get a good sound or to play with ease and flow, try to play with less bow. A lot of beginners use long bow strokes without realize how hard they are working to keep up. Shorten the bow lengthen and take a casual attitude towards playing.

As your body and mind relax, you can experiment with lengthening the bow strokes. Long bows are useful for developing a nice tone. But I think it’s best to start with shorter bows.

It’s a simple, practicel tip that i think you’ll find helpful.

This is a rule of thumb for fiddle tunes, especially for when things are difficult.
