I’m Rick and I have been playing fiddle for almost a week now. I’ve taken it up again after a 40 year break and I am having a blast.

Yahoo! I completed 1.1.
I decided to remove my fingering assist from the finger board. Freedom. I did not realize how much I was looking at that to find my notes. Now I will be forced to do it by ear.

The other day while playing I got a sharp shooting pain coming from the tip of my left hand index finger. It has been two days since then. The pain is getting less and I have not played since then. My guess is that I push too hard on the strings. Has anyone else had this?

Hi Brenda,
Nice to meet you. I also have been working my way through the beginner lessons and have found so many little gems here. My best Buddy tells me I’m already sounding better after only a few weeks. He’s been playing music (guitar) for over 50 years so I’m pleased with his words. Best of all I love this new musical me.
