Hi Stella, great recap of your practice week, thanks for sharing this 🙂

You seem to be moving at a fairly brisk tempo through the module pages, and there are a lot of songs within each lesson! I understand it can feel like a lot to manage/focus on.
I would take note of the songs I am interested in learning, have a list of them somewhere, and note…[Read more]

    hi

I’m new to Fiddlehed but I’ve started at lesson 1.6 as I’ve had lessons for 3 months and it felt comfortable.

I don’t want to be practising too many tunes at once and never get good at any of them. if I’m working of the tunes in that weeks lesson is it ok to me working on something else as well? I’m currently working on Amazing Grace and have…[Read more]

I would love to see the slur patterns people use for this song. I know it’s personal preference but as a beginner it really helps me to see it. I am a note reader by the way. I tried some slur patterns but I think it could be improved. I also like to have bowing marked as it helps me learn the tune too.

which tune are you referring too. im terrible for just following the sheet music lol. adding a slur for me is like colouring outside the lines lol.

Hey Steve, great inquiry. Have you figured anything more out in the last week with this? I’d be interested to see you show a specific example of this.
I feel as though we can add double stops to anything we want, with any adjacent string, permitting it makes sense for us in terms of notes sounding good together, and that the technical aspect of…[Read more]

Curious if I want to (or should I?) Add double stops to notes I play on the G string can I use the open A (or open G on Vla) or do I need to add fingering to that higher string? Thanks
