Now playing from memory makes it easier to concentrate on getting the right finger positions, just need to get a bit more flow now!

Just catching up on the videos for this challenge: I’ve been practicing this jig called Coleraine, this was from day 1 of the challenge & I was still having to read the tabs/music as well as trying to get the tricky low 2nd & high 3rd notes!

No formal online session today, so I assembled this arrangement with chords and vocals.

Fiddler’s Green is a place I hear tell,

Currently on holiday in North Devon, I thought I’d take advantage of the beautiful back drop! Unfortunately I was shivering so much there’s a few errors but you get the idea!🤣🎻

I recorded the lead part, chord back up plus bass fiddle version of Swallowtail then played it back on Garageband as I play this Harmony part. Sunset serenade with my sweetie (Louise, my wife), playing a rusty rendition of “Shenandoah” on a Newfoundland beach. Well, geologically speaking as a geek, western Newfoundland is the northern end of the Appalachian Mountains, so I guess it fits, sort of(?)

I’ve been practicing this one a lot recently with our lovely Puddle Jumpers Fiddleheds!
