Thank you Debbie, this is brilliant! So much fun to play along with your video — makes my fiddling sound like music. Thanks for sharing.

I am learning a tune for a group. I belong to that is predominantly on the g string. I have a lot of difficulties playing the game playing the g string because my fingers are short, Also I have a bad shoulder, so I can’t crank my shoulder back very much. I therefore have to hold the fiddle more towards the front of me. Any suggestions for…[Read more]

Thanks for sharing folks. @susieq, I tagged you here to ensure you see Mike’s above reply. The hearing aids topic with recording/zoom sessions is a good one. Bluetooth to the apple device to hear the audio coming through our microphones. Be interesting to hear if this works for you, Susieq. Good topic to hear from the wider community as well 🙂

Very neat sharing, Steve. These are important endeavours. It’s a gorgeous song, and the way they play it really carries well. I also like the dynamics they use, harmonies, and various instruments coming in and out throughout.
I like how you share your process with this. Listening, especially live and with our instrument, and as we’re ready,…[Read more]

    Time: about 90m
    What I did:
-New melody in G Major pentatonic
-“Blues-Grass”. version of Don’t Cry To Me
    -Do you realize song
    What went well:
Good arranging ideas for 2 tunes. Lots of wandering but I recorded it so I can reference it later.
    Could use improvement:
    Singing technique…getting hoarse…maybe because I’m practicing late.

My first “Jam”. Granted I barely got through scratching out a few chords. Trying to get this waltz under my belt. Recorded so I could use the sound clip to practice.

      Nice one Steve.
I think you can learn the tune using the video.
It’s in G Major and starts:
      D0-3-A0-1-3-L2-1-0-D3-0-1-G3
      D1-3-2-1-0
