Okay, so I started in February, never having played a violin.
I took a break from the lessons because I felt I was getting ahead of myself.
I took the time to stay with the basics until I felt I could move on.
I am now at Module 1.3, and here is my capsule recording of Oh Susannah.

This will be my benchmark, though I know that I can execute a little bit better.

My biggest issue is landing back at the proper fingering…my hand seems to slip down the neck as I play.
      And some bow control.

      Let me know what else…

Jim, great share ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Thanks for this post ๐Ÿ™‚
your first video attachment worked well, and also the youtube video share. Sometimes the Youtube video will work better for quality and size of video.

Here’s a rough video I made in response to your openness for feedback. Thanks for the opportunity:

I encourage folks to type the word ‘bowing’ into the search bar on FiddleHed, where there are many great resources for this practise focus.

      Appreciate your work with this!

      Jocelyn,

Thank you for your encouragement and gentle guidance.
I will focus on those areas before moving on.
It is great to have the interaction and feedback.
      Thank you.

      Jim
