Kayli created a lovely video playing this tune, so enjoyable to experience. Thanks for sharing!
Kayli reached out and mentioned:
“I remember Jason teaching about how to add βgritβ to triplets. I can’t seem to track the video down again, but I’m hoping that I haven’t added too much βgritβ as a variation in this song. Please provide feedback on this texture. I can also play these loosely and smoothly. What do you suggest? So many decisions when experimenting! Thank you!”
Here’s a rough video in response to Kayli:
Please also share your comments as your able to and keep this discussion flowing.
Thanks for tuning in!
Thank you so much Jocelyn! I really appreciate your kind commentary and insightful suggestions!! I am proud that you enjoyed my playing/expression. Thank you so much for being attentive to my questions and providing such a thorough response. I will take your input with me as I continue onward π»π»π
I wanted to mention that I kind of disected this recording (https://youtu.be/scm9L_LDCzg?si=MotgOwenqp3mJAIe) until I understood the variations that I liked, as best I could. I wrote them down on my basic song version and played along. Some became memorized, I did it so many times! I just wanted to give credit to Duncan and also share part of what I find really fun in learning. Thanks!
