I’m in Mexico City this week and “appearing” in the Central Gov’t Plaza, where it is illegal for foreigners to busk. So, I’m not busking. But there are a lot of people seeming to like-slash-tolerate my quietly playing presence down here 🙂

Hello! Join me for a 30-min practice sesh any day in September, just respond here and we’ll set up a date/time. 5 min scales, 5 min bowing, then work on a tune for 20 min. Then we’ll play that tune for each other. Fun!

Hello! Here’s an excerpt from my 30-minute practice session today. I’m playing here on the ‘Cricket’ travel fiddle, made by ‘Magic Fluke,’ It’s sturdy enough to take backpacking, super light, and fits in a 5-inch document tube. I’ll be taking it on the AT when I don’t have my elderly dog with me anymore–probably next spring. Yep.

…tunes on the fiddle so I can take a fiddle, as opposed to a banjo, with me on the AT next year. Here I am playing my 2020 Hiroshi Kono, but I’ll be taking a Magic Fluke ‘Cricket’ travel fiddle with me when I go. That’s my elderly dog on my lap who is 18 years old now, mostly deaf and blind, but who gets everything he wants, heh! Yep. Cuckoo’s Nest
