Bro I wish this was earlier in the course! I’ve always struggled with putting the individual quarters together and with being too dependent on playing through from the very beginning (i.e., if I mess up I have to start all over). I will definitely use this technique!

Any advice on how to make the 2nd quarter of the B part sound more fluid? This song is a core tune for Module 1.8 and Jason’s tutorial video shows how good it can sound. At first I tried slurring every two notes for this part but it still didn’t sound right. Any advice?

Aw, thank you, Maria! I think next time I learn a song I will try to do a longer progress period to compare (i.e. longer than 3 days).

Thanks so much, Jason! The answer is I spent way too long in Sony Vegas figuring it out 😂 But now I know for next time!

Nice! Sure sounds like vibrato to me. Can’t wait until I can get the hang of it!

Thank you so much, Kate! And yes this is a cool variation — quite a bit more complicated than the beginner version we learn first in the course!

Progress video! Practice is magical. Nowhere near perfect of course; intonation and rhythm can be improved.
