Just about ready to dump my IPad Air, as I can’t set the Zoom options so that others can hear me play. Will try to find a laptop that will accept a mic and earphones. Any suggestions?

I’d imagine your ipad could come in handy for many uses besides playing an instrument on zoom, though if you choose to trade it in for a laptop, that makes sense too.
I have a refurbished 2015 macbook pro, as they have more replacable parts compared to newer ones. I hear good things about the macbook airs aswell.
Looking forward to hearing what you settle for. And maybe there’s a way to reconfigure zoom to run on an ipad or phone and act like it is on a laptop or desktop computer to enable the necessary audio settings..
I use a mac book Pro and a Scarlett interface which lets you plug in a mic, instrument & headphones. Works well for Zoom & Garageband
