    Hey Richie @r88,

Thanks for sharing. Not a lot of absolute beginners do that!

I liked how you gave a little instruction at the beginning. Trying to teach something is a great way to learn more deeply.

    Cheers!

I always loved this tune from one of my favourite musicals, never thought I’d be able to play it! Thanks for the lesson Jason!

A FiddleHed subscriber named Michael made this violin. We’re giving it away in a contest. Click here to enter.

I’m taking requests for tunes. Other requests coming over the next few days: “Lark In The Morning” […]

Beautiful. Love the speed variation and the ornaments. I’ve been working on this tune. It’s kicking my a**, but getting better incrementally.

With guest appearances by my youngest and voice “accompaniment” from my 3 year old. Pretty standard practice session 🙂
For this one to keep the rhythm I’ve been trying one verse basic and then repeating it with variation.

I just got my fiddle a couple of days ago. Right now I am practicing my bow hold along with getting clear notes on open strings.

Brilliant Mary! When I first learnt that tune I couldn’t play 4th finger so for 2months I could only play the A-part!

    Hey Jason!

Thanks for all the lessons and inspiration. You got me here! I’ve never had trouble picking up the fiddle and playing with your good vibes in mind.
