Our next group Zoom will be Monday, February 13, 8 pm EST. All are welcome to join. Terri sent out a link to interested folks, and we can post it again here. Some of us are still having mic issues, but we’re working those out and the group is generous & supportive. Y’all come!

Terri 🤓🎻 posted an update Hi All! This is my first attempt to post! In Feb \'22, I started fiddle at age 58. While I don\'t have serious physical problems, I played sports A LOT when I was younger, and I\'ve broken a few fingers, and my right thumb was broken away from my hand. My wrists were not very flexible...So, I researched this a bit...And now, I have a series of stretches that I do every day before I play. I start w/my neck then shoulders (I use Peggy Cappy\'s \"Yoga for the Rest of Us\" neck, shoulder and wrist warmups) then arms (tricep and bicep stretches) then wrists then fingers...For the fingers and wrists, I found a book that was originally in German written in 1860, \"Gymnastics for the Fingers and Wrist\". Here\'s the link to the site that has the pdf version in English (its free): https://ia902700.us.archive.org/21/items/wardjacksonsgymn00warduoft/wardjacksonsgymn00warduoft.pdf The author wrote this book because he played violin when he was young, quit for many years, and as an adult found that his fingers and wrists were very weak. I hope this is helpful to others! 🙂
