ParticipantI was trying to upload a profile photo but it didn’t seem to be working right for me. I uploaded, but nothing showed up, except a button to “crop photo.” When I would click on it, it made a small random portion of my uploaded photo as my profile pic. I tried cropping my own photo first, in case it was too large, but the same thing kept happening.

ParticipantI’ve tried again to add a profile photo. this time I noticed a tiny tiny square a few pixels wide in the section. I can’t do anything with it except make it smaller, into one pixel point. I also can’t crop/adjust a cover photo. I wonder if its because I have Apple/Safari? I tried on my iPad, and both my computers (laptop, iMac) so I’ll just wait to hear anything on that before I try again.

ParticipantWell, the same thing happens with the dragging and the uploading. A tiny itty bitty square a few pixels wide. As soon as I choose the only option: crop, it goes ahead and uploads what ever section of the photo it decides. I finally got something up. When I saw what area it was choosing, I tried to place what I wanted in that spot of the photo I was uploading. After a few tries, I did get my face in there! I did have a fiddle on my shoulder, but it will have to just be this for now! Unless something changes in the uploading process. Thanks for weighing in!

ParticipantYes Carolyn, the same thing has happened with me for both profile and the background photo – only a section of the photo gets shown. I’ve adjusted the file size etc but when I hit edit it only captures a part of the total photo. I’m not sure how you managed to drag yours from the desktop Magpie, could you explain the steps in more detail?

ParticipantTo upload a photo for your profile –
- open both the Fiddlehed webpage that is – Profile > change profile photo and
- the picture folder where you can see the image you want to use.
- Put one on the left the other n the right of your screen.
- Click on the image and then drag with your mouse over to the drop your photo here on the webpage.
You will see the green as it uploads and the image will appear as your profile pic.
The cover image has a bug too. I can only get half the image that I want to use. I have tried a few things but there is a setting that needs changing I think.
