Here is something silly to think about, do you have a name for your partner / fiddle ? I will start ?

      1. I named Junior he is my first instrument

      2. I named Frankie after ( Frank Sinatra ) because the tone is low and mellow and set up as a violin

      3. Is named olde boy due to it being aged checked by my luthier at close to 150 – 200 years old and still loves to sing and make others jump around a jig ?

** notice ** all have male names a fiddle acquaintance told me if the tone is ” bright ” it’s a female fiddle
      If it’s ” low & mellow ” it’s male

I named my fiddle Della Mae, a name used in the bluegrass song “Big Spike Hammer”. She was built in Germany in 1890, that’s all I know, so I’m going to have to sit down one day and “make up” a good long story of where she’s been through the last century.
