Hi all,
Has anyone here had any luck with DDAD tuning? Every time I try to tune the G string “Down” to the D, it gets pretty floppy, and not able to really do a good bow stroke. I would really LOVE to do Midnight on the Water and Bonaparte’s Retreat with that D drone, but I’m not sure what to do with the floppy D string.
Any suggestions?

Thanks! I never thought that it was SUPPOSED to sound that way. Since this post, I figured out a way to psych myself out lol. I tune the G way down to a C or something, then when I tune back up, it “feels” not as floppy…I’ll take a look at the video…
