low first finger

low first finger is halfway between the first finger and the nut (end of the fingerboard)
on E string low first is F natural, on A string it's B flat, on D string it's E flat, on G string it's A flat.

knowing this allows you to play an F major scale:

DL2-3-A0-L1-L2-3-E0-L1
